Our student study centre is fitted with computers, where the students can surf on internet, have a chat with their families, relatives and friends. Or they can study English online.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria offers a selection of hot and cold food and drinks. The cafeteria has seating for over 30 students. The food is good and you will be able to find something to your taste whether you like pasta or want to try more traditionally English food! The cafeteria has a large plasma TV mounted on the wall so that students can catch up on the latest news and sport. Come here and socialise with your classmates and hear English spoken in all the accents of the world!

General English

Whatever your learning objectives you can choose a full time General English course. With 15 hours per week of tuition we will help you improve your English language skills and give you the opportunity to practise these skills outside the classroom, at work and in your daily life.

General English are the most popular and are often combined with Add-On Courses or Specialised Exam Courses which cover a variety of skills and purposes. The students are motivated to reach the next level in their language learning and Shane Global aim to give them a well-rounded experience.

Fast Track IELTS

Many students take our Fast Track IELTS courses to fulfill their academic and professional goals. Whether you are looking to study at university, move up the career ladder or simply to add your English qualification to your CV, Fast Track IELTS courses can help you.

IELTS is the most popular exam course, for students who wish to progress to university or further their career. The exam is accredited by Cambridge University, and was taken by over 2 million students last year.

This course aims to better prepare candidates for the IELTS test by teaching them several strategies to help them approach and answer the test questions. The techniques learned will maximise their potential to achieve the desired IELTS band. Along with this, the experienced teacher will help develop the student’s grammatical and lexical knowledge, which in turn will help increase their score.

Those entering university can utilise these and other vital skills in areas such as:

  • Academic Assignment writing;
  • Research skills;
  • Reading for a specific purpose;
  • Written and oral communication.

By the end of the course students will have greater knowledge and an increased vocabulary & language awareness. They will feel more confident in their ability to pass the test at the desired level and will be more effective in both written and oral communications in English.

Business English

Communicate with confidence in a range of business settings, using English in a professional context.

Business English aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a modern day business environment in the United Kingdom and/or communications with such from overseas.

You will learn and practise essential skills such as: ‘giving presentations’, ‘persuading & negotiating’, ‘receiving feedback’ and ‘becoming a key team-player’. Along with practical skills like ‘writing business correspondence’ and ‘developing language used for meetings’.

By the end of the course you will have a greater knowledge of British business, an increased vocabulary & language awareness, and you will feel more confident in your ability to communicate in English in the workplace.

Private English Lessons

Private English Lessons give you One-to-One attention from your teacher, allowing you to develop your language faster and work on your particular needs.

Classes are arranged hourly, with one hour equalling a 60 minute class. Fit your class around your busy schedule, or combine them with our varied group classes. Private English Lessons give you the flexibility to tailor your learning programme around your specific objectives.

Teachers are all CELTA qualified and are friendly and approachable. They are here to help you achieve your goals. Before class, LSC Stanton ask you to complete a detailed Needs Analysis Form. This allows the teacher to get to know you as a student and prepare your bespoke Private Class.

Why Private Classes?

Focus: Your One-to-One lesson is adapted around your needs and objectives. With your teacher, turn any of your weaknesses in class into strengths and work towards your professional and academic goals.

Flexible Lessons: Private Classes give you the flexibility to work and study, as they can be arranged to fit your schedule. One hour equals a 60 minute class and classes can be taken over an extended period of time.

Combine: Combine our Group Classes with Private Classes, to improve your overall level while working towards your specific goal.

CELTA Full Time Course

The CELTA course is the most widely recognised qualification both in the UK and internationally for entry into a career in English Language Teaching to Adults (ELTA). Suitable candidates will be offered jobs by Saxoncourt Teacher Recruitment at the end of the course.

This 4-week CELTA course in London offered by Saxoncourt is both extremely intensive and practical, providing candidates with a thorough grounding in ELTA teaching techniques through a combination of instruction, observation and teaching practice.

Entry Requirements:

Entrance test and interview, proficiency in both written and spoken English. No previous teaching experience is required. Minimum age 20 (18 exceptionally).

In accordance with Cambridge ESOL criteria, candidates should be qualified to a level equivalent to entry into Higher Education, though allowances may be made at the discretion of the school.

Course Details:

The course itself involves 120 contact hours and includes a minimum of 6 hours observed teaching practice with English language students. The input sessions concentrate mainly on language analysis and classroom methodology.

Input sessions include the following:

  • The principles of student-centred learning;
  • Developing students’ language skills;
  • Analysis of language;
  • Clarifying and checking students’; understanding of language;
  • Lesson planning;
  • Classroom management;
  • Professional development;
  • Opportunities to observe experienced teachers in class;
  • Four written assignments covering the practice of English language teaching.

Daily contact hours will normally span some 7 to 8 hours (from 09.30 to 17.00 hrs) with teaching preparation and written work in addition.
9.30-5.00 Monday to Friday

CELTA Part Time Course

The part time CELTA course in London has the same components and the same contact hours as the full-time CELTA, only it spreads over 12 weeks and is suitable for candidates who are not able to dedicate 4 weeks to full time study or prefer a less intensive option.

Suitable candidates will be offered jobs by Saxoncourt Teacher Recruitment at the end of the course.

Course Details
Course length: 12 weeks

The class is 2 evenings a week ( normally Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 18:15 to 21:30 + 12 Saturdays from 9 to 13:00 .

You will be required to make arrangements to come in and observe the regular teachers’ classes (9am – 12:30am) once over the duration of the course.
